AI DESIGNER / CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Catarina Campos is an AI Designer and Creative Director working at the intersection of branding, visual culture and generative intelligence.
Her work explores the space between reality, fiction and constructed visual narratives, using generative AI as a conceptual and methodological tool. She approaches AI as an extension of design thinking, combining human intention, cultural reference and structured creative direction with machine-generated processes.
With a 10-year experience in marketing strategy and digital design, Catarina works as an independent practice since 2023. She holds a degree in Marketing Management, a postgraduation in Digital Design, and has
completed specialized studies in luxury branding at Paris School of Business and the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York — experiences that continue to inform her sensitivity to symbolism, perception and value creation.
Her practice is shaped by an international trajectory, having lived between Porto, Paris, Stockholm and Zurich, and by extensive travel across more than 35 countries, contributing to a nuanced understanding of visual language and contemporary culture.
She is the founder of Definitely Not Real, an ongoing portfolio and research platform dedicated to exploring the evolving role of designers in an AI-mediated visual landscape.
